About The Career Hacker Movement

The CareerHacker Data Analyst Mentorship is the flagship program inside the broader Career Hacker movement.

Chris Shupe officially started the Career Hacker movement in October of 2021, with a vision of a thriving community of people like him, who also had the desire and drive to create careers and businesses that support the life they truly want to live—instead of the life that’s handed to them.

Many Career Hackers choose to become data analysts, following the tried-and-true path that Chris has already laid out. But the Career Hacker methodology works for any career or business, and for every career goal there is a path to success.

If this movement sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, we’d love to have you in our thriving community on Facebook. It’s 100% free (this is Chris’ way of helping EVERYBODY who wants positive change in their lives, even those that aren’t in a financial situation to pay for his premium programs) and it’s chock full of helpful resources, videos, trainings, and even live sessions. It’s also a great way to get support and encouragement from other people following the same path.

About Chris

Chris Shupe started his career as a typical jaded millennial. He graduated from high school with good grades, got into college, and graduated in 2010 with a decent GPA and a degree in Economics. Basically, he did everything millennials were “supposed” to do to get a good job and have a good life.

But that “good job” didn’t come. Chris spent the next YEAR after graduating, slinging applications to every full-time office job he could find, no matter how miserable or low-paying. None of them hired him. Meanwhile, he was working part time as a waiter’s assistant in a restaurant. That’s right, not even a waiter…a waiter’s assistant.

After much pain and frustration, Chris eventually realized that his college degree was worthless, and that what employers actually cared about were SKILLS. So he got busy learning how to work with spreadsheets and databases, and soon he got hired.

It was a low-level office job making just $38,000 a year, but it was far better than anything he’d had before.

He continued building his skills, and less than a year later got a job as a data analyst making $70,000 per year, almost double his previous salary.

Since then, he’s never stopped learning. He grew in his career as a data analyst with multiple companies, worked fully remote for a while, and then eventually decided his true passion was leading others through the path of success that he’d discovered for himself.

Now Chris is a full-time coach and mentor for motivated folks who want to step up in their careers, and recently founded the Career Hacker movement to empower and improve the lives of as many people as possible.

Chris’s ultimate vision is to create the world’s greatest organization of people who create their dream careers, instead of just accepting whatever society expects of them.
